Trever Hill Design Employee

After my summer internship, I was hired as a part-time employee to continue designing beyond the summer. Below are some of the projects that I assisted with:

Casselton New Build Project

This home was designed by a previous employee. Unfortunately, due to some unexpected property setbacks, we had to find a new solution. I was tasked with finding a way to fit all of the required rooms into the allowed area and create renderings to show the client the space. By the end, the home was set up completely different while still retaining its original charm. when we showed the client, they were thrilled with the results.

Moorhead Kitchen Remodel Project

These renderings are from a clients kitchen that I was tasked with rendering. First I went to the clients home and took measurements of their current kitchen. after this I took the measurements and built up the kitchen in Sketchup and adding the new finishes and fixtures.

During the course of my internship at Trever Hill Design, I was able to help with a large variety of tasks. Because the company is so small, each of the employees are able to play a large part in the design process. As the intern I was able to be a part of this process and absorb as much information as I could as I was introduced to the real day to day of Interior Design.

Some of the tasks I was assigned throughout my internship:

- Scheduling furniture finishes and equipment

- Creating mood boards

- Assisting in the selection of materials and furniture

- Space planning

- Completing construction documents in AutoCAD

- Completing renderings in Sketchup

- Pitching ideas to clients.
